Rotation, Rotation, Rotation

Updates: Wigan got beaten by the slightly fortunate Liverpool by 0-1 at the JJB Stadium. Thanks to Benayoun's effort, who Rafa introduced as a substitute in the second half, Liverpool managed to win the game after drawing the last two Premiership games.

However, despite gaining 3 points from this win, it makes small difference in terms of the positions at the top of the table. This is because Arsenal also beat West Ham 1-0 and Manchester City gave a brilliant performance to beat Newcastle 3-1 at home. I can only hope Man Utd. either lose or draw in their game against Birmingham ;p

Rafa explains yet again on his rotation policy in the press conference prior to the game against Wigan later tonight (or more accurately later tomorrow - British time) at the JJB stadium. Listen to his interview, courtesy of the Belfast Telegraph.

Some the interview's transcript summary can be read here. Basically he's saying that he wants Torres fit enough by the end of the season where the important games really matter - such the Champion's League final.

My opinion is that he should play Torres this weekend simply to win some points before we fall too far behind of those leading the Premiership table. After all, his objective this year should be to win the Premiership title, no? So why play Torres in the Carling Cup and not the main games in the Premisership that every Reds fan is hoping the club will win? Win it and you will be a legend at Anfield, Rafa!

Halo 3 Hits the UK

I love this pic...a true fan hugging the Master Chief lol! Courtesy of BBC News. Anyone with an XBox 360 trying it out yet? I mean playing Halo 3, not hugging the Master Chief!

Revived

Perhaps I should really say reborn, resurrected or something closer to that sense. Cause I really did kind of killed off the blog last time when I deleted the Simply Rojak I used to have, hosted on Typepad.

But in the digital world there is nothing stopping me from re-creating a new one - this time hosting it for free on Blogger. I wish I could retrieve the old entries, which I deleted from Typepad, cause I do remember writing some really good stuff - at least to me it was kind of good ;) and also it has some sort of memorable value...for myself of course.

Anyway, if one does a search on Google, one would find that Simply Rojak has already been created by another blogger - though it seems that it's not maintained anymore. And so I could only use the blog address simply-rojak.blogspot.com, instead of the much preferred simplyrojak.blogspot.com. Oh well, we can't have everything, right?

I have been away from the blogging scene for...what? 3 years? Maybe longer. But while being away means not blogging, it certainly doesn't mean that I stopped reading blogs at all. I still keep in touch with the local blogging scene and I can see that some of the more popular ones are still around.

Good thing is, there are a bunch of new ones too. And not forgetting to mention that there are a whole host of new socio-political blogs - which compared to a few years ago, readers were really limited to a few blogs like Jeffooi.com and perhaps SuaraMalaysia.com. Anyone still remember the latter one? I used to comment a lot in there...haha I wrote quite a lot of current affairs stuff on Simply Rojak last time too.

Keeping with the title, this blog will maintain it's "theme" of being "rojak", i.e. its entries will be on whatever and about whoever - like the description says, life is about a mixture of many and different things. I hope whoever is reading this, have a pleasant read and do leave a comment.
